Jean Ann Watson

KEWANEE – Jean Ann Watson, 74, of Kewanee, died at 3:45 a.m., Friday, February 2, 2024 at the Kewanee Care Home.

She was born February 3, 1949 in Kewanee, the daughter of Wilmur and Bernice (Stanislavaitis) Driscoll. She married Carl H. Watson and he preceded her in death on April 11, 2011. She is survived by a sister, Rita, a brother, Don and her many friends. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Jean graduated from Kewanee High School in 1967. She had worked as a veterinarian assistant and groomer for Dr. Case in Kewanee. She enjoyed horse jumping and fox chasing and raised champion Great Danes. She was a well-known dog groomer.

Cremation will be accorded and private inurnment will be held at Rock Island National Cemetery. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
