Jeffrey W. Gould

KEWANEE – Jeffrey W. “Jeff” Gould, 56, of Kewanee, died at 1:39 p.m., Monday, November 1, 2021 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Anthony Medical Center in Rockford, IL.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, November 8 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Rev. Kevin Drane officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee where military rites will be accorded by the Kewanee Veterans Council. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. The funeral home will maintain compliance with COVID regulations and requires that all guests wear a mask for the safety of all those attending.

He was born December 14, 1964 in Kewanee, the son of Alan and Betty (Carlson) Gould. He married Amy Pate on May 22, 2004. Survivors include his wife of Kewanee, his mother of Kewanee, his three children; Jennifer (Quentin) Konie of Rantoul, IL, Tyler (Kellea) Nelson of Peoria Heights, IL and Jared Gould of Kewanee, a brother, Alan (Keri) Gould of Kewanee, a sister, Judy Detrick of Norwalk, IA, seven grandchildren, three nieces and five nephews and his in-laws, Robert and Lilly Pate. He was preceded in death by his father, Alan and a brother, Bradley.

Jeff graduated from Kewanee High School in 1983 and served his country for 4 years in the U.S. Marine Corps working in food service. He had worked for 15 years at the Kewanee Senior Citizens Center and currently for the State of Illinois at the Kewanee Life Skills Re-Entry Center for the past 20 years. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Kewanee. He loved fishing locally and traveling to Estes Park and New Orleans. He enjoyed gardening and landscaping and was known for keeping an immaculate yard. He also enjoyed family game time and the Kansas City Chiefs.
