Jill L. Simmons

KEWANEE – Jill L. Simmons, 59, of Kewanee, died at 6:44 a.m., Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at her home.

Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of her Life will be held from 1:00-4:00 p.m., Saturday, August 27 at the Flemish-American Club in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born November 24, 1962 in Canton, IL and was raised by Arthur and Wanita Grace Trowbridge. Survivors include her three sons; Gilbert Simmons Jr. of Pickneyville, IL, Matthew Simmons of Kewanee and Bradly Simmons of Galva, a brother, Jack Allen Trowbridge of Orlando, FL, seven sisters; Torey Hoffman of Kewanee, Terri Mannypenny of Conroe, TX, Terri Seward of Colorado, Beth Gosnell of Bloomington, IL, Ruth Duffer of Ft. Myers, FL, Carolyn Armstrong of Lewistown, MI and Amanda Trowbridge of Kewanee and 10 grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents and step-mother, two brothers and a sister and her daughter, Jacklyn Simmons.

Jill graduated from Galva High School and attended Black Hawk College East Campus. She had worked as a licensed practical nurse. She enjoyed doing puzzles and her fur baby, Daisy.
