WILLIAMSFIELD – JoAnne P. Little, 82, of Williamsfield, died at 12:21 a.m., Tuesday, July 26, 2022 at her home.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Monday, August 1 at St. James Catholic Church in Williamsfield. Celebrant will be Fr. John Verrier. Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 p.m., Sunday, July 31 at St. James Catholic Church in Williamsfield with recitation of the Rosary at 4:00 p.m. Burial will be in Williamsfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St. James Catholic Church or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
She was born June 20, 1940 in Galesburg, the daughter of Carl and Grace (Kidder) Sherwood. She married LeRoy N. Little on October 1, 1960 in Peoria. Survivors include her husband of Williamsfield, two daughters, Roberta Little of Havana, IL and Rebecca (John) Cabrera of Galesburg, IL, five sons; Timothy Little of Rock Island, Ted (Ann) Little of Mt. Prospect, IL, Doug (Anne) Little of Bend, OR and Monty (Mary) Little and Neil (Ashley) Little, both of Williamsfield, a sister, Rita (Phil) Miller of Springfield, IL and twelve grandchildren; Rachel, Emma, Paul, Alexis, Evan, Allison, Grace, Emily, Matt, Claire, Nick and Eli. She was preceded in death by her parents and three siblings; Ray Sherwood, Alice Mills and Kay Gillenwater.
JoAnne graduated from Corpus Christi High School in Galesburg and was employed with the Williamsfield School District for 32 years. She was a member of St. James Catholic Church in Williamsfield and enjoyed sewing, quilting and traveling. Most of all, she enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.
