John E. Werderman Sr.

John Edward Werderman Sr., 62, of Kewanee, died Tuesday, August 5, 2025 at OSF Saint Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington, IL.

He was born February 19, 1963 in Kewanee, IL, the son of Gene V. and Darlene (Talbot) Werderman Sr. 

Surviving are his son, John (Susan) Werderman Jr., daughters, Elizabeth Carter and Nichole (Justin) Brown, son, Paul (Alicia) Carter, daughters, Jessica (Eric) Peed and Aleah Werderman and son, Daniel; two brothers, Gene V. (Diana) Werderman Jr. and Phillip (Kathy) Werderman Sr., four sisters, Dianna (Rodney) Loibl, Claudia (William) Croegaert, Carol (Michael) Perva and Kathy (Michael) Verkruyse; grandchildren, Jade and Eli Werderman, Jacob Dailey, Marrissa and Janessa Weir, Tayla and Brady Brown, Jeslyn, Airalyn and Avahlyn Carter, Taylor Higginbottom, Aubree and Shadrick Murphy, BreAnna and Isabella Peed and Rosaline Werderman and great grandchildren, Hazel Dailey and soon to arrive Carsyn. He was preceded in death by his mother, father and brothers, Otto “Bill” Werderman and Richard Werderman Sr.

John graduated from Kewanee High School in 1981. He loved to fish, ride his golf cart and side by side, make people laugh and spend time at the river. 

A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m., Saturday, August 9 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and inurnment will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 16 at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. In lieu of flowers memorials may be directed to the Easter Seals.
