John "Jack" C. Annett, 87, of Santa Rosa, CA, passed away on October 14, 2023. Born on July 27, 1936, in Kewanee, IL, Jack was a dedicated and hardworking individual who had a profound impact on small businesses in Sonoma County and Northern CA.
Jack was known for his unwavering commitment and quest to help others throughout his life and career. He was passionate about the health insurance industry. Jack's love for his work was evident as he poured his heart and soul into his own businesses, Employer Services Inc. (ESI) and later Employer Administrative Services Company (EASC), for over 60 years.
Outside of work, Jack had a deep appreciation for the beauty of the open road. He enjoyed embarking on road trips and exploring the hidden gems found along the back roads. Jack's adventurous spirit and love for exploration made every journey a memorable one.
As a family man, Jack cherished his loved ones dearly. He is survived by his estranged wife, Lois Jean Annett; three loving daughters Kristina Holloway, Julie Scates, and Traci Theodorou; four stepdaughters: Jill Dekeyser, Jayne Tjardes, Janet Holtschult and Jennifer Vidjker; as well as 17 grandchildren, 29 great grandchildren and 1 great-great grandchild.
Jack was preceded in death by his father, George Annett, his mother, Ernestine Annett, and his brother, Don Annett. Their memories will forever remain in the hearts of those who loved them.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, November 4 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Deacon Martin VanMeltebeck officiating. Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the time of the service at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee.
