Jonathan P. Kenney

GALVA - Jonathan P. Kenney, 50, of Galva, died Friday, October 6, 2023 at his residence.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside inurnment will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, October 28, 2023 at Galva Cemetery. All friends and family are invited. Memorials may be directed to the Ronald McDonald House Charities of Chicagoland or the American Cancer Society.

He was born September 7, 1973 in Galesburg, IL, the son of Eddie W. and Patricia (Pierce) Kenney Sr. Survivors include his mother of Galva; his siblings Shelly (Bart) Ericson of LaSalle, IL, Kelli (Terry) Patton of Geneseo, IL and Eddie (Jackie) Kenney Jr. of Lerna, IL; six nieces and nephews Austin (Mary) Ericson, Levi (T.J.) Ericson, Lindsey (Austin) Croom, Logan Patton, Kaitlin (Bishop) Crenshaw and Graciana Kenney; and three great nieces and nephews Crawford Croom, Huntley Ericson and Collins Croom. He was preceded in death by his father.

John graduated from Galva High School. He worked as a siding installer and as a general handyman. He was an avid St. Louis Cardinals and Washington Commanders fan. He enjoyed spending time with his buddies and joking with his nieces and nephews. He will be greatly missed by his family and friends.
