Jordan D. Smith

GALVA - Jordan D. Smith, 27, of Galesburg, formerly of Galva, died at 12:21 a.m., Sunday, December 26, 2021 at OSF St. Mary Medical Center in Galesburg.

Graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday December 31 at Galva Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of service at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Memorials may be directed to the Jordan Smith Memorial Fund.

He was born December 18, 1994 in Silvis, IL, the son of James D. and Janet L. (Tucker) Smith. He is survived by his mother, Janet Tucker and his father, James (Michelle) Smith, all of Galva, his grandmother, Martha “Marty” Hannah, three sisters; Heather (Brandon) Avery of Bishop Hill, Kati (Brandon) Cady of Pleasant Hill, IA and Mariah (Colton) Miyler of Galesburg, a step-sister, Allison Reese and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, John D. Smith and Robert Tucker and his step-grandfather, Vince Hannah.

Jordan had graduated from Geneseo High School in 2013. He was a devoted Christian and enjoyed reading his bible and was a gifted musician, playing the guitar. He enjoyed fishing, skateboarding and spending time with his family.
