Joseph Francis Clary, 58, of Wichita, KS, formerly of Kewanee, IL, passed away unexpectedly Friday June 18, 2021 at home.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m., Thursday, June 24 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church followed by the Rosary at 7:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 a.m., Friday, June 25 at St Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church. Burial will be at Resurrection Cemetery in Wichita, KS.
Joe was born September 16, 1962 in Kewanee, IL to Clarence L & Joan T. (Barry) Clary. He married Connie Bergmeier on October 27, 1984 at Sts. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Nauvoo, IL. She survives along with their three children: Nicole (Scott) Posch of Viola, KS; Taylor Clary of Wichita, KS and Marc of Clearwater, KS; and grandchildren, Nicholas, Stella, Tyler and Penelope Posch. Joe is also survived by his mother, Joan of Kewanee, IL; and sisters: Cathy Clary of Bloomington, IL; Mary (Charlie) Moon of Wichita, KS; Patricia Clary of Arlington, TX; Sue Clary of Fremont CA; and Ann Clary of Waukee, IA; two nephews: Chris (Kate) Haynes of Williamsburg, VA and Ben Moon of Columbia, MD; and numerous other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, Clarence.
Joe grew up in Kewanee IL where he graduated from Visitation Catholic Grade School and Wethersfield High School. He attended Western Illinois University.
Joe was a loving husband, dad, grandpa, son, brother and friend. He was a dedicated employee for 37 years for LDF Companies; a member of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church; 3rd Degree Member of Knights of Columbus; and former Boy Scout Leader. Joe was a car enthusiast, traveler, and loved spending time with his family.
A memorial has been established with the American Heart Association and St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Catholic Church in lieu of flowers.
