KEWANEE – Joseph P. “Joe” Tremblay Jr., 47, of Kewanee, died at 8:35 p.m., Thursday, May 2, 2019.

A Celebration of his Life will be held at 3:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

He was born May 22, 1971 in Rock Island the son of Joseph P. and Judith (Drury) Tremblay Sr. He married Sherry Mills on May 1, 2019. Survivors include his wife, Sherry Tremblay of Kewanee, four children; Jacob (Amber) McIntire of Davenport, IA, Tyler Tremblay of Aurora, CO, Lorraine Tremblay of Davenport, IA and Jered Logsdon of Kewanee, two step-children, Shelby Sides of Alpha and Justin Sides of East Moline, his sister, Kathleen (Tim) Sheets of Kewanee, a brother, Allen Smock, ten grandchildren; Bentley, Bryson, Braxton, Jace, Julian, Lane, Aaliyah, Amiyah, Jayden and Romeo, nieces and nephews; Alexis and Brittney Smock, Layne and Brandon Johnson and Quinn Sheets, Dale and Dixie Lawrence whom helped raise him and his canine friend, Miller. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Lorraine.

Joe was a carpenter by trade and had worked in maintenance and as an electrician for Tyson. He enjoyed animals, especially dogs, fishing, woodworking, carpentry work and just plain fixing things. In the words of Joe, “See ya.”
