Judith A. "Judy" Dunn

KEWANEE - Judith A. “Judy” Dunn, 75, of Kewanee, died at 5:11 p.m., Monday, January 22, 2024, at her home surrounded by her loving family.

Judy was born February 14, 1948, in Jacksonville, IL, the daughter of Otis and Anna (Rickey) Surratt. She married Keith E. Dunn on August 29, 1981, in Rock Island and he preceded her in death on July 4, 2012. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her two sons, Shane Johnson Sr. and Shad Dunn and two sisters, Linda Felton and Britney Surratt. Survivors include her two daughters, Sarah Dunn and Sadie Rose, both of Kewanee, three brothers; Otis Surratt Jr. and Bobby and Johnny Surratt, three sisters; Shirley, Megan and Autumn Surratt, her six grandchildren; Tyler Bass, Shane Johnson Jr., Shaelyn Dunn, Malik Diop and Kennady and Alex Young several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Judy had worked as a home care giver and enjoyed watching her daytime soap operas and doing word search puzzles. She also enjoyed being outdoors, especially camping and fishing with her family.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Friday, January 26 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Pastor Darin Jones officiating. The visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. A private burial will be held at Bunker Hill Cemetery in Buda. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
