Judy E. Akin

NEPONSET- Judy E. Akin, 64, of Neponset, died at 8:30 a.m., Friday, December 15, 2023 at her home.

Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements. Memorials may be directed to the family.

She was born August 15, 1959 in Forney, TX., the daughter of William and Hazel (Pruitt) Akin. Survivors include her children; Traci (John) Clark, Kevin McCurdy, and Joseph Shinn, sisters; Shirley Arnold and Betty Saey, brothers; Audre Akin, Clyde Akin, and Dennise Akin, grandchildren; Kassidy, Kane, Victoria, Natalie, Caleb and Keigan and her great grandchildren Landon and Logan. She was preceded in death by her parents, her siblings; Foster, Cindy, and Benny Akin and her nephews; Don, Randy, and Larry.

Judy was born and raised in Texas. She was a homemaker who proudly took care of her family. She enjoyed reading, cross stitching, and visiting with her family. Her pride and joy were her grandchildren and great grandchildren. She also adored her two pets Tinker and Sadie. She will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.
