Judy Ann Huber Obituary

Judy Ann Huber 81, of Kewanee, died July 9, 2024 at the Richard L. Owens Hospice Home in Peoria. Born on April 19, 1943 in Galva, to the late Russell Allen and Lucy Bernice (Jackson) Lindstrom, she married Roland Huber on June 14, 1985 in Galva and he preceded her in death October 15, 2004.

Judy is survived by her daughter, Jeri Lynn (Devere) Billingsly of Kewanee; brother, Russell (Joyce) Lindstrom of Galva; grandchildren, Nathan Fields, Abbey Billingsley, Brianna (Adan) Galarza and Alana Sue Gould; great grandchildren, Sofeya, Anya, Freya and Alana D’Lynn; niece Leslie, nephews, JR, Randy, and Jason and great nieces and nephews. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a great nephew, Justin.

She and her husband had lived in Sun Prairie, WI and Hot Springs, AR and later relocated back to Galva.

Judy loved to spend time with her family and friends. Her bond with her brother was very important to her and she had many lifetime friends she stayed in contact with including Sandy Anderson Dyer, Bee O’Brien, Sharon Segura and Gail Kenney her homemaker and bonus daughter. She loved gathering for coffee or a good NASCAR race and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She enjoyed coloring, painting, crafts, and definitely a good book. Judy’s favorite companions were her beloved four fur baby cats.

Cremation rites have been accorded and family and friends will be celebrating Judy’s life at a later date. Judy said she is looking forward to visiting the beach again. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is assisting the family with arrangements.
