WOODHULL - Julie A. Beeler, 78, of Woodhull, formerly of Galva, died Sunday, December 22, 2024 at her home.
A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday, December 26 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Rev. Katie Gallagher officiating. A visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. The inurnment will follow at Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the Messiah Lutheran Church.
She was born on July 25, 1946 in Moline, IL, the daughter of Raymond and Helen (Johnson) Rogers. She married Gary L. Beeler on September 8, 1990 in Galva and he preceded her in death on November 29, 2001. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two infant sisters and a step-grandson, Jeff Gerard. She is survived by a brother, Larry (Doris) Rogers of Somonauk, IL, two nieces, Kendra (Matthew) Potter and their daughters, McKenna (fiancé Nathan Willig), Morgan and Angela (John) Shoener and their sons, Douglas, Grant and Alexander, a nephew Bradley Rogers and his children, Montana, Olivia, Calleigh and Dayton, two step-sons, Doug Beeler and Darren (Kara) Beeler, two step-daughters, Brenda Gerard and Angie Miller and several step grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Julie graduated from Alwood High School in 1964. She had worked as a licensed practical nurse at various nursing homes in the area. She was a member of the Messiah Lutheran Church and enjoyed reading, following the QVC channel and spending time with her family.
