Karen Quanstrom

KEWANEE - Karen Y. Quanstrom, 81, of Kewanee, died at 5:30 a.m., Tuesday, February 26, 2025 at her home.

She was born on July 12, 1943 in Kewanee, the daughter of Junior Harold and Francis (Kepford) Olson. She married Frank Quanstrom on March 14, 1969 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on September 20, 2016. Survivors include her two sons, Wayne (Paula) Conlin of Coweta, OK and Mike Conlin of Kewanee, her two daughters, Corina Galbraith of Kewanee and Mary Ericson of Farmington, three brothers, four sisters, sixteen grandchildren, eighteen great grandchildren and four great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother.

Karen worked at Great Dane in Kewanee for 20 years until her retirement. She loved her cats and enjoyed calling people and checking on them. She especially loved traveling the country to visit her children.

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Friday, March 14 at Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
