KEWANEE - Katherine F. “Kate” Clague, 80, of Kewanee, died at 8:32 a.m., Thursday, March 25, 2021 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm., Tuesday, March 30 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Rev. Kevin Drane will officiate. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, March 29 at the funeral home. Burial will be in Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. The funeral home will monitor capacity limits to maintain compliance with COVID regulations. The funeral home requires that all guests wear a mask for the safety of all those attending.
She was born March 18, 1941 in Kewanee, the daughter of Donald Harry and Dorothy (Simmons) Clague. Survivors include her children; Lisa (Mark) Washburn of Kewanee, John (Stacey) Morrell of Erie, IL, Amy (Howard) Ross of Ames, IA, Brad (Jennifer) DeWolfe of Oneida, Elizabeth DeWolfe of Arlington Heights, IL, Sherri (Paul) Lee of Florida, Tammy DeWolfe (Sherri Tonish) of Colorado and Rick (Sem Phal) DeWolfe of Colorado, a brother, Bill (Chris) Clague of Kewanee, three sisters; Charlotte Chamberlain of Toulon, Virginia Cameron of Abingdon and Ada (Randy) Orwig of Galesburg, twenty-six grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Kate graduated from LaFayette High School. She had worked as a bookkeeper for several area firms including Best & Son. She enjoyed sewing, quilting and crocheting.
