Kathleen E. Garrett

KEWANEE – Kathleen E. Garrett, 73, of Kewanee, died at 2:30 a.m., Friday, January 20, 2023 at the Kewanee Care Home.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Thursday, January 26 at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to her family. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born May 1, 1949 in Kewanee, the daughter of Fred and Lois (Peed) Bickers. Survivors include her children, Kelly Milnes and Kris Jackson, both of Kewanee, two grandchildren, Tayler Jackson and Delaney Reynolds and a great grandchild, Kai Inocencio. She was also preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Rick.

Kathleen graduated from Kewanee High School in 1967. She worked as a secretary at various places in the area. She had a love for animals and enjoyed playing cards and writing notes and cards to her children.
