Kellee (DeJaeger) Gilmour Obituary

Kellee Elizabeth Mary (DeJaeger) Gilmour, age 48, of Frisco, Texas passed away on June 27, 2025. She was born on October 28, 1976, to Mary Katherine (Kazlowski) and Kyle Louis DeJaeger in Boulder, Colorado. Kellee was a parishioner at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Frisco.

A dedicated researcher, Kellee pursued her passion for science with unwavering commitment. She graduated cum laude from the University of Arkansas with a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology, where she was a member of the Alpha Delta Pi sorority. She went on to earn a Master of Science in Molecular Biology from Southern Methodist University. As a researcher and lab manager for UT Southwestern Medical Center, Kellee dedicated her career to contributing to solutions for significant societal issues, including obesity and cancer. Her intellect and drive were a force for good in the world.

Kellee’s greatest role was that of a mother. She was endlessly devoted to her son, Caleb, and her daughter, Jillian, who were the absolute center of her world. From her 27-year marriage to Ryan Gilmour, she was blessed with her two wonderful children. An accomplished flautist, Kellee passed her love of music on to them, a legacy of harmony and passion that will continue to play on.

Kellee embraced life with an adventurous spirit. She loved to travel throughout the country and the world, eagerly visiting new places, seeking adventure, and trying all the local food. While she cherished these global explorations, her true happy place was with her family at Disney World, where she looked forward to that first Dole Whip, a simple pleasure that represented pure joy and togetherness.

Deeply committed to her community, Kellee loved to give back. She generously volunteered her time and talents with the Frisco Women's League, where she eventually served in various board positions, leaving a lasting impact on the organization and the community it serves.

Above all, Kellee will be remembered as a devoted daughter, sister, wife, mother, and friend who cared for all. She was a faithful disciple of Christ whose kindness and compassion were a beacon to those who knew her.

Kellee is survived by Ryan Gilmour of Frisco, Texas; her son, Caleb Gilmour of Frisco, Texas; her daughter, Jillian Gilmour of Frisco, Texas; her parents, Katy and Kyle DeJaeger of Poinciana, Florida; her sister, Kimmy Genuardi and her husband, Matt of Orlando, Florida; her nephews and niece, Teddy Genuardi of Orlando, Florida, Lauren Gilmour of McKinney, Texas, Mac Gilmour of McKinney, Texas; her aunt, Debbie Gerk of Sanford, Florida; and her cousin, Donny Gerk of Altamonte Springs, Florida.
