Kevin M. Duytschaver, 55, of Kewanee, died Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at his home.
He was born February 13, 1970 in Dixon, the son of Fred John and Maureen (Tiehen) Duytschaver. Survivors include his sister, Angela (Paul) Carey of Sarasota, FL, two brothers, Matthew (Kelly) Duytschaver and Eric (Carlee) Duytschaver, both of Kewanee, stepmother, Linda Duytschaver of Kewanee, Aunts; Kay Heaton of Kewanee, Carol (John) Gilla and Jean (John) Cousineau, niece, Genevieve Olivia Young of Clearwater, FL and six nieces and nephews; Jersie, Lyric, Hudson, Madison, Michael and Emmy, and several cousins including; Tami (Dave) Harker of Kewanee, Lynda (Scott) Baugh and Terri (John) Goemble, both of Bloomington, Tim Shinkevich of Sacramento, CA and Timothy, Andrew, Stephen, Matthew and Maureen. He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Michael.
Kevin graduated from Kewanee High School in 1988 and from St. Louis School of Pharmacy in 1994. He worked as a pharmacist at Publix Super Market in Sarasota, FL and had also worked as a veterinary technician. Kevin was an artistic individual who was incredibly intelligent and had a love for animals, especially his dog Zeus. He enjoyed cooking and playing the guitar and piano.
Cremation has been accorded and a celebration of his life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, February 14 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. A visitation will be held one prior to the services at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Henry County Humane Society - Kewanee Chapter.
