Lawrence "Larry" Self

TOULON – Lawrence “Larry” Self, 26, of Toulon, passed away on Saturday, September 19, 2020 in rural Victoria.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-8:00 p.m., Friday, September 25 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation and graveside services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, September 26 at Pleasant View Cemetery with Pastor Tim Watts officiating. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

He was born April 18, 1994 in Kewanee, the son of Jack Self and Kathy Hansen. Survivors include his parents, his step father, Butch Johnson, his fiancée, Emily Lucas, his four children; Ellaina, Lilly and Callie Self and Xaiden Quick-Self, grandparents, Alice and Carl Hansen, his great grandmother, Betty Vervynck, several loved brothers and sisters, aunts and uncles, nieces and nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his grandma, Glenna Boker, his memah, Joy Hansen, great grandma Marilyn Petty, great-great grandma, Wilna Catton, several aunts and uncles and cousin and best friend, Billy Self whom also passed away in the same accident.

Larry graduated from Addison High School. He worked as a welder for the Rohn Company in Belleview, IL. Larry was loved by all who met him and could put a smile on everyone’s face. Larry lit up a room when he walked into it. He enjoyed fishing, bow hunting, four-wheeling, mudding and working. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family and children.
