ROCK ISLAND – Lela F. Taylor, 97, of Rock Island, formerly of Kewanee, died Tuesday, May 19 at Generations at Rock Island.
Cremation will be accorded and due to the restricted guidelines of COVID-19 private graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to a charity of the donor’s choice and sent to Rux Funeral Home, 507 S. Chestnut St., Kewanee, IL 61443.
She was born April 20, 1923 in Buda, IL, the daughter of William and Gertrude (Huber) Hall. She married Richard E. Taylor in 1955 and he preceded her in death on February 16, 2002. Among the survivors are her two sons; James Taylor and Charles Frick.
Lela and her husband owned and operated the Rock Island Eleventh Street Park and Shop for over 50 years.
