Linda J. Finin

KEWANEE – Linda J. Finin, 70, of Kewanee, died at 10:55 a.m., Wednesday, November 17, 2021 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m., Monday, November 22 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Liberty Cemetery in rural Atkinson. Memorials may be directed to the Lutheran Social Services of Illinois or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She was born February 23, 1951 in Geneseo, the daughter of Dale and Beatrice (Hand) Good. She married Gerald D. “Jerry” Finin on March 1, 1969 in Palmyra, MO. Survivors include her husband of Kewanee, her four children; Jerri Ann (Michael) Bumphrey of Dahinda, Travis (Angela) Finin of Galva and Dustin (Christie) Finin and Jason (Gabrielle) Finin, both of Kewanee and a special foster son, Alex and several other foster children throughout the years. Other survivors include her two siblings, Marvin (Penny) Good of Galesburg and Debra (Ken) Barham of Osco, IL, ten grandchildren; Ryan Bumphrey of Milwaukee, WI, Kyle Bumphrey of Kewanee, Kegan Jacobson of Burlington, IA, Bryce Bumphrey and Skylar Finin, both of Kewanee, Blaze Finin of Galva, Kinseleigh Finin and Harper Finin, both of Kewanee, Mia Bumphrey of Dahinda and Dalton Barns of Pekin. She was preceded in death by her parents, two sisters, Carol Ward and Beverly Good and a brother, Larry Good.

Linda attended Alwood Schools She held various jobs over the years but her favorite was being a homemaker. She had a love for baking and cooking family meals and enjoyed flowers and gardening. She also loved her chocolate and was known by some as the “Candy Lady.”
