Linda Mae Martin

Linda Mae Martin, 80, of Galva, died at 7:20 p.m., Sunday, May 10, 2026 at the Hillcrest Home in rural Geneseo.

She was born on April 19, 1946 in Kewanee, the daughter of Clarence and Anna Mae (Smith) Hepner. She married Keith E. Martin on February 17, 1963 in Bishop Hill and he preceded her in death on January 7, 2006. Survivors include her son, Kem (Andrea) Martin of Galva, her daughter, Kathy McCoy of Galva, nine grandchildren and several great grandchildren. She was also preceded in the death by her parents, two sisters, Darlene and Claris, her son, Tony Lee Martin, her daughter, Lynn Yelm and grandson, Curtis Lee Haars.

Linda worked as a housekeeper at the Hillcrest Home in Geneseo for over 30 years. She was a member of the Bishop Hill Community United Methodist Church and enjoyed doing needlepoint and word search puzzles.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 14 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Pastor Rebecca Gearhart officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 13 at the funeral home. The burial will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
