GALVA- Linda Sue Raley, 74, of Galva, died at 4:50 p.m., Monday, June 10, 2024 at her home surrounded by her loving family.
She was born May 5, 1950 in Kewanee, the daughter of Joney and Sadie (Hughes) Yelm. She married Terry Raley on February 2, 1979 in Kewanee. Survivors include her husband of Galva, her three children; Samantha (Brian) Robbins of Powell, OH, Jake (Kenda) Kitner of Lincoln, IL and Eli Raley of Charleston, SC., her siblings; Ann (Duane) Barlow of Pinehurst, NC, Kenneth (Jane) Yelm of Hamilton, OH and David (Cindy) Yelm of San Bernadino, CA, five grandchildren; Trevor Robbins, Blayne (Sam) Robbins, Kaitlyn Nelson and Brooke and Colt Kitner and three great grandchildren; Owen and Liam Robbins and Charlotte Groff. She was preceded in death by her parents, and sister, Alice Collinson.
Linda worked at Community State Bank in Galva for 31 years serving in many capacities lastly holding the title of Vice President. She enjoyed flower gardening, reading, crocheting, trips to the beaches of South Carolina and shopping with her daughter. Most of all she loved her family and cherished the time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
A public visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, June 14 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva. Private services will be held at the funeral home with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. A Celebration of Life luncheon for the public will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, June 15 at the Galva American Legion. Memorials may be directed to OSF Hospice.
