Lucky L. Powers

KEWANEE - Lucky L Powers, 43, of Kewanee, passed away at 10:07 a.m., Friday May 22, 2020 at the Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center surrounded by his family.

A memorial visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Wednesday, May 27 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Due to the restrictions of COVID-19 masks will be required and limitations of 10 visitors at a time will be allowed in the funeral home. A graveside committal service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Thursday, May 28 at Pleasant View Cemetery. Deacon Rich Williams will officiate. Memorials may be made to the Lucky Powers Memorial Fund for his children.

Lucky was born October 12, 1976 in Lawrence, KS, the son of Danny “Skip” and Ellen Marie (Dickerman) Powers. His parents and a special uncle, Terry “Bones” Powers preceded him in death. He is survived by three daughters, Midori Powers of Denver, CO and Shelby and Ava Powers, both of Galesburg, three brothers, David Powers of Fairbanks, Alaska, Skipper (Melissa) Powers of Davenport, IA and Dan (Jill) Powers of Kewanee, two sisters, Bridget Weir of Kewanee and Cari Hartman of Buda, his step-mother, Jan Powers of Kewanee and fourteen nieces and nephews, Kindra, Breena, Gage, Taylor, Hope, Ariel, Corbyn, Preston and Ashton Powers, Cody and Colton Weir, Caitlin and Cobe- Miller and Kylie Likes. 

He had worked as a cook at various restaurants. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and he enjoyed playing video games, fishing and golfing.
