Lucy P. Lindsey

Lucy P. Lindsey, 84, of Kewanee, passed away at 8:05 p.m., Thursday, September 11, 2025 at her home surrounded by her family.

She was born on November 15, 1940 in North Carolina. She married William Dean Lindsey on February 27, 1957 in Beeville, TX and he preceded her in death on July 7, 2017. Survivors include her son, William (Alicia) Lindsey, her sister, Lilly Calloway, nephew, Dean Petty, twelve grandchildren and many great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her son, Terry Lindsey and her brother, Eddie.

Lucy was a homemaker and had worked as a certified nurse aide, a cook and had done factory work. She enjoyed fishing, cooking, crocheting and in her early years she enjoyed bowling. She loved her family and cherished the time spent with them.

Private graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to her family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family.
