Obituary
ROCKFORD – Lynn Marie Hatzinger, 67, a resident of Betty’s Garden Memory Care of Kewanee, formerly of Rockford, died at 7:20 p.m., Sunday, April 3, 2022.
Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment at Resurrection Catholic Cemetery in Justice, IL. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
She was born June 4, 1954 in Chicago, the daughter of Richard and Eleanor (Pempek) Burza. She married Peter Hatzinger in 1979 and he preceded her in death in 2013. Survivors include her two sons, Wade (Ashley) Hatzinger and Kyle (Brittany) Hatzinger of Lansing, KS, a brother, Vernon (Eileen) Burza of Greenfield, IN, four grandchildren; Andrew, Marion, Cole and Ty, a niece, Nicole and a nephew, Daniel. She was also preceded in death by her parents and her sister, Lois.
Lynn worked as a high school secretary for the Rockford School District. She was of the Catholic faith. She enjoyed doing crafts and especially spending time with her grandchildren.
