Lynn M. Yelm

GALVA - Lynn M. Yelm, 60, of Galva, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at OSF St. Joseph Medical Center in Bloomington with her family at her side.

She was born August 10, 1964, in Kewanee, the daughter of Keith and Linda (Hepner) Martin. She is survived by her children, Alan (Samantha) Yelm and their children, Madison Kirk, Ryker, Barrett and Landon Yelm of Galva, Bailey Yelm and her children, Brice Briggs and Harper Wheelhouse of Galva and Casey (Anthony) Pozzi of Ringgold, GA and her son, Levi Pozzi, her mother, Linda Martin of Galva, a brother, Kem (Andrea) Martin of Galva, a sister, Kathy McCoy of Galva and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her father.

Lynn worked as a manager at Walmart in Kewanee as a team leader in the clothing department for the past 29 years. She was of the Methodist faith and she enjoyed reading, going on walks, playing games, watching movies, spending time by the pool, planting flowers and gardening and especially spending time with her family.

A Celebration of Life service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, December 3 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Rev. Rebecca Gearhart officiating. A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Monday, December 2 at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services with private inurnment at Galva Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
