Maelee M. Walton

Maelee M. Walton, 43, of Galesburg, formerly of Kewanee, passed to her heavenly home on April 13, 2026. She entered this world on July 16, 1982.

Maelee’s love continues to shine through her precious children, Kozell Walton and Kozette Walton who were her greatest joy and the center of her world. She is surrounded in love by her parents, Alisa, Trevor and Gregory Walton and her siblings; Kia Taylor, Chaize Taylor, Hank Taylor and James Taylor. Her presence lives on in the hearts of her family and friends, and her laughter, strength and beautiful spirit will always be felt by those who loved her.

Maelee was pure energy and love wrapped into one unforgettable soul. She was funny, outgoing, and free-spirited, never afraid to be exactly who she was. Her laughter was loud and contagious, her smile absolutely beautiful, and her presence could light up any room. She was loyal, loving, and deeply caring, always uplifting the people around her and making them feel seen. She danced through life with a wild, joyful spirit, unapologetically herself in every way. To know her was to love her, and her light will continue to shine in all of us.

A Celebration of her Life will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, April 25 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Pastor Alvis LaFlora officiating. Memorials may be directed to her family.
