Obituary
KEWANEE - Maizie L Kidd, 81, of Kewanee, died at 3:55 a.m., Tuesday, April 4, 2023 at Royal Oaks Care Center in Kewanee.
Private graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery with Rev. Mara Ahles-Iverson officiating. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
Maizie was born December 31, 1941 in Galva, the daughter of Benjamin and Laurice (Peugh) Lambert. She married Ronald D. Kidd on July 17, 1969 in Cambridge and he preceded her in death on February 26, 2008. She was also preceded in death by her parents, six brothers, Marvin, Maurice, Lawrence, Leonard, Lester and Loren and one sister, Marjorie Leggins.
Survivors include four daughters, Jeanne (John) Hayduke of Tampa, FL, Judy (Bruce) Johnston of Quincy, IL, Rhonda Manthe of Geneseo, IL and Lanae Kieser of Arizona; one son, Rob Stankowski of Neponset, IL; one sister, Marti Senter of Las Vegas, NV; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer, Jonathon, Sarah, Ruthie, John Craig, Bethany, Sydney, Aubrey, Elizabeth, Alexis, Chelsea, Kortney and Devon and ten great-grandchildren, Declan, Teagan, Daniel, Cameron, Finley, Gracie, Harrison, Madeline, Ahlexii and Elias.
Maizie graduated from Galva High School in 1959. She was a homemaker.
