Margaret Ann Ireland

Margaret Ann Ireland, 83, of Kewanee, died at 8:30 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026 at her home.

She was born on February 8, 1942 in Queens, NY, the daughter of Walter James and Marian (Stephenson) Main. She married Carl Stephen Ireland on May 19, 1962 and he preceded her in death on February 8, 1990. Survivors include her two sons, Mike (Ivy) Ireland of Kewanee and Sam (Paula) Ireland of Charlottesville, VA and six grandchildren; Katie, Sammi, Chloe, Christian, Conner and Cooper. She was also preceded in death by her parents.

Margaret was homemaker and had also worked as a model, hairstylist, real estate agent and as a manager of a convenience store. She was of the Catholic faith and was an avid reader and “history buff.” She enjoyed cooking and doing home designs and was known as an “Amateur Detective.”

Funeral services will be held at 9:30 a.m., Saturday, January 24 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee with Deacon Michael Crummer officiating. The visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the time of the services at the funeral home. Cremation will be accorded following the services and inurnment will be held at Roselawn Burial Park in Martinsville, VA at a later date.
