Marilyn B. Anderson

GALVA – Marilyn B. Anderson, 85, of rural Galva, died at 1:04 a.m., Monday, May 31, 2021 at her home.

Cremation will be accorded and there will be no services. Private inurnment will be held on the family farm. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.

She was born July 21, 1935 in Morris, IL, the daughter of Lyle and Lois (Ames) Stitt. She married Eugene R. “Gene” Anderson on September 25, 1953 in Dyersburg, TN and he preceded her in death on October 22, 2016. Survivors include her four children; Philip (Raymonde) Anderson of Tallahassee, FL, Norman Anderson of Woodhull and Esther Anderson and Carrie Anderson, both of Galva, her brother, Jerry Stitt of Verona, IL and four grandchildren; Jeffrey Anderson of Gary, IN, Callie Anderson of Cambridge, Sebrina Occeus of Houston, TX and Aurellio Anderson of Tallahassee, FL. She was also preceded in death by her parents and six siblings.

Marilyn had worked as a nurse practitioner in Pikeville, WV and had also been a farmer’s wife.
