Albert served in World War II and was stationed in Japan. After he returned home, he built their first home, and then shortly after, their daughter Jeanne was born.

She also attended her own bible study with a wonderful group of women who also met on Fridays for lunch. It was their little ritual for years.
Her daughter Jeanne died of breast cancer a few months after Marilyn’s death.
