Mark L. Williams

LAFAYETTE – Mark L. Williams, 65, of LaFayette, died at 7:22 a.m., Friday, June 2, 2023 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Wednesday, June 7 at Rux Funeral Home in Galva with Pastor David Pendergrass officiating. Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Tuesday, June 6 at the funeral home. Burial will be in LaFayette Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to his family for a memorial to be established.

He was born March 31, 1958 in Kewanee, the son of Leighton and Sandy (Cantwell) Williams. He married Traci J. Palmer on June 19, 1998 in Toulon. She survives as do their children, Jeremy Williams of Wyoming, Trent Williams of LaFayette, Ashleigh Williams of East Moline and Kai Williams of LaFayette, four grandchildren, Devin, Envy, Eva and Elisha and his parents of LaFayette. He was preceded in death by a brother, Rodney and a sister, Roxanne.

He graduated from ROWVA High School in 1976. He had worked as a welder at various places. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, camping and any outdoor activities but most of all he enjoyed spending time with his family and his kids.
