Martha D. Bartman

PEORIA – Martha D. Bartman, 89, of Peoria, formerly of Mineral, died at 8:42 a.m., Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at the Bickford of Peoria Senior Living.

Cremation will be accorded and services will be held at a later date with inurnment at Mt. Olivet Cemetery in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Sheffield Rescue Unit or to Transitions Hospice in Peoria. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.

She was born April 21, 1932 in Kewanee, the daughter of Frank and Mary (Modrzynski) Draminski. She married Kenneth A. “Kenny” Bartman Sr. on May 31, 1952 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on April 3, 2021. Survivors include her three sons; Ken (Gordon Daly) Bartman Jr. of Peoria, Denny (Deb) Bartman of Princeton and Paul (Marlene Marky) Bartman of Cornelius, NC, six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, her six siblings; Margaret Gamble, Frances Kubinsky, Anne Lemanski and Frank, Tony and John Draminski and a grandson, Ethan White.

Martha was a homemaker and farmer’s wife who in her earlier years enjoyed camping and traveling around the country with her family. She also enjoyed playing the penny slots at the casino, gardening, knitting and cooking and was known for making the best angel food cake.
