Marvin L. Shults

TOULON – Marvin Lee Shults, 81, of Toulon, died Friday, August 30, 2024 at the Kewanee Care Home.

He was born May 19, 1943, in Kewanee, the son of Clyde and Alice (Peterson) Shults. Survivors include his brother, Roger (Linda) Shults of Toulon and two nephews Keith and Bryan (Traci) Shults and their children Brandon and Tiffany. He was preceded in death by his parents and his special friend, Linda Scheider.

Marvin obtained a bachelor’s degree in business from Bradley University. He worked for many years as a farmer and a rural mail carrier. He especially enjoyed farming and was an avid traveler having visited, Mexico, Russia, Stockholm, Sweden, London, England and Perth, Australia.

Graveside services and burial will be held at 11:00 a.m., Monday, September 9 at the Toulon Cemetery with Rev. Glenn Corbly officiating. A visitation will be held from 10:00-10:45 a.m., Monday at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Memorials may be directed to the Toulon Methodist Church.
