KEWANEE - Marvin E. Stevenson, 69, of Kewanee, passed away peacefully at 10:33 p.m., Tuesday, July 15, 2025 with his family at his side.
A visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until noon on Saturday, July 19 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Cremation rites will be accorded following the visitation and private inurnment will take place at a later date at Pleasant View Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to OSF Hospice.
He was born on December 7, 1955 in Kewanee, the son of Orville and Lorraine (Malone) Stevenson. He married Janet K. Marsh on January 14, 1978 in Washington, IL. She survives as well as his son, Charles Stevenson of Wood River, IL, his daughter, Jennifer (Brandon) Pickering of Kewanee, four grandchildren; Brooklyn (Trey) Kazubowski and Blaine, Aaliyah and Macee Pickering, two great grandchildren on the way and three brothers, David (Deb) Stevenson, Gaylan Stevenson and Kerry (Mary Lynn) Stevenson, all of Kewanee. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister-in-law, Terry.
Marvin attended Kewanee Schools. He was a HazMat Specialist Hauler and had operated as an independent truck driver and also for various trucking companies. He enjoyed stock car racing, NASCAR and fishing. He was also an avid fan of the Pittsburg Steelers and the Chicago White Sox. He especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
