Mary Jackson Obituary

KEWANEE – Mary Catherine Jackson, 65, a resident at Toulon Rehabilitation and Health Care Center, formerly of Kewanee, went to be with her Lord on October 3, 2020. She was born in Kewanee to Edmond and Ruth (Frick) Beauprez on October 14, 1954. Mary attended Visitation School through the 8th grade and graduated in 1972 from Kewanee High School where she found great joy in dancing with the pompon squad. Following high school, she married Russell Kermeen. She later married Dennis Jackson and they were approaching their 37th anniversary.

Some of her most cherished memories from her early childhood were family trips to Minnesota. After her marriage she and her family enjoyed yearly trips to the Wisconsin Dells. Mary loved music and especially loved dancing to live bands at the MOC where she and Dennis met and got married. Mary was passionate about her work as a CNA at local nursing homes. She enjoyed collecting angels, doing word search puzzles and playing card and dice games. Most important were her family and friends. On birthdays she would call and sing and she always ended every conversation, or visit with an, “I love you.”

Mary was preceded in death by her parents and a brother Edmond in infancy. Survivors include her husband Dennis, her children Brian Kermeen and Nichole (Ginger) Blahnik, her grandchild and pride and joy, Brooklyn Blahnik, her siblings, Phillip (Gayle) Beauprez, Elizabeth (William) Dolieslager and Jeanne (Thomas) Barton, nephews, Jamie and Christopher Beauprez, nieces, Islande and Thania Barton, sister-in-law, Rosemary (Joe) Bloome, brother-in-law, Dwayne (Denise) Jackson and numerous other family and friends.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 12:00 p.m. noon on Thursday, October 8 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Deacon Martin VanMeltebeck will officiate. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the funeral home. Inurnment will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.
