Mary Ann Jensen

GALVA – Mary Ann Jensen, 91, of Galva, died at 12:55 a.m., Wednesday, August 4, 2021 at Courtyard Estates in Galva.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, August 21 at the First Methodist Church in Galva. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church. Inurnment will be in Galva Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

She was born April 22, 1930 in Henry County, IL the daughter of Charles Sherman and Lilly Mae (Cathcart) Melton. She married Floyd Jensen and he preceded her in death. Survivors include her son, Charles Jay Patterson of Visalia, CA, nine grandchildren, sixteen great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, two daughters, Cheryl Lee and Karen Sue and two brothers, Robert Charles Melton and Dale Eugene Melton.

Mary Ann had worked in accounting at AT&T. She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Galva.
