Michael D. Fesler

KEWANEE – Michael D. Fesler, 67, of Kewanee, died at 8:40 a.m., Tuesday, September 10, 2019 at his home.

Cremation has been accorded and a Celebration of his Life will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 21 at the American Legion in Kewanee.  Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established.

He was born June 28, 1952 in Kewanee, the son of Esther I. McIntire. He married Starr Ann Heestand on November 21, 1990 in Kewanee and she preceded him in death on October 25, 2015. He later married Debra Brose on May 4, 2017. Survivors include his wife of Kewanee, four children; Eric Fesler and his wife, Jeanine of Clearwater, FL, Amy Fesler Israel and her husband, Jeremy of Kewanee, April Fesler Starr of Kewanee and Levi Michael Fesler of Kewanee, a step-daughter, Tricia (Robert) Johnson of Missouri, three step-sons; Richard (Connie) Vlahovich, Jeff Vlahovich and Matthew (Guiletta) Vlahovich, grandchildren; Amara, Javon, Ariah and Jayseon Israel, Skylar Fesler, Alayna Fesler and Michael Fesler and step-grandchildren, Dacia and Zachary Hoyle and Sergio Vlahovich. He was also preceded in death by his parents and step-daughter, Carol Fragosa.

Michael served his country in the U.S. Army. He had worked as a welder, as a floor tech for Heartland Health Care Center and in security at Great Dane. He enjoyed knives, gardening, cooking and motorcycles and he especially enjoyed spending time with his family.
