Mike worked for 35 years at Kewanee Machinery and Conveyer and then 10 years at Heat and Control in Galesburg. Outside of work, his interests were varied from guns and trapshooting to building and flying model airplanes to reading with history being his favorite. He was a member of Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. He had a remarkable memory for dates and details and could be counted on to point out inaccuracies in movies like a gun from a different era or a car from a year that didn’t match. He loved a good joke and growing up he and his good friend, Bob Smith were notorious pranksters. Mike enjoyed raising roses and especially enjoyed a beer and Polish Potato Vodka. A man of strong opinions, he had a soft spot for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
