Michael Lee Horner

KEWANEE - Michael Lee Horner, 55, of Princeton, IL went home to be with his beloved heavenly family at 6:52 p.m., Monday, July 19, 2021 at the Ottawa Pavilion.

Visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday July 22 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Following the visitation cremation will be accorded and a private service with inurnment at Pleasant View Cemetery will be held at a later date. Memorials can be directed to the family.

Michael was born November 17, 1965 in Kewanee, the son of Donald and Dena (Farrell) Horner. He grew up on the family farm in Neponset. He had graduated from Wethersfield High School and enjoyed tending to the livestock as well as to the land. As he got older, he enjoyed reading and became an avid fan of the Harry Potter series as well as a fan of Star Trek and Star Wars.

He is survived by three sisters, Joanne (Ron) Berry of Neponset and Rebecca (Edward) Behnke and Karen Burrows, both of Kewanee and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in his final voyage by his parents and a brother, Steven.
