Nancy Ann Puskar

KEWANEE- Nancy Ann Puskar, 74, of Kewanee, died at 2:11 p.m., Thursday, February 8, 2024 at OSF St. Francis Medical Center in Peoria. 

She was born on August 25, 1949, in Springfield, IL, the daughter of James T. “Tommy” and Florine L (Hildebrand) Jackson. She married Leo “Sonny” Puskar Jr. on December 19, 1969, in Toulon and he preceded her in death on August 1, 2007. She was also preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her two sons, Leo Puskar III and James (Valerie) Puskar, both of Kewanee, her two daughters, Sherry (Reuben) Israel of Rockford and Michelle Puskar of Kewanee, four grandchildren, Miranda (Andrew) Swanson, Mikayla Puskar, Braden Puskar and Allyson Puskar and a great granddaughter on the way.

Nancy was a graduate of Toulon High School and Black Hawk East (first graduating class). She had worked at Excel Leather Factory and was also a homemaker. She enjoyed reading, playing Sudoku, being outside, and especially spending time with her family.  

Cremation will be accorded and graveside services will be held at Pleasant View Cemetery at a later date. Memorials may be directed to the family for a memorial to be established. Rux Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.
