GALVA – Nickolas J. “Nick” Leverette, 43, of Galva, died at 8:07 p.m., Sunday, May 14, 2023 in the emergency room at OSF Saint Luke Medical Center in Kewanee.

Cremation will be accorded and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Memorials may be directed to his family. Rux Funeral Home in Galva is in charge of arrangements.

He was born February 20, 1980 in Kewanee, the son of David and Janet (Kermeen) Leverette. Survivors include his father of Galva, two brothers, Chad Leverette and Joseph Leverette, both of Kewanee, his sister, Jennifer (Jim) Hart of Hannibal, MO and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and his brother, Christopher “Marvin” Leverette.

Nick graduated from Galva High School in 1998 and had worked as manager of Wal-Mart for several years. He also worked as a home health care agent for Victor Interial of Galva. He thoroughly enjoyed socializing and visiting with family and friends.
