Patricia A. Kuykendall

Patricia A. Kuykendall (nee Ensley) of Friendswood, Texas, formerly of Kewanee, died unexpectedly on August 17, 2022 at HCA Houston Healthcare Hospital. She passed away nine days after her husband James died.

A private family Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, October 11, 2022 at Saint John Paul II Parish in Kewanee. Private family burial will follow at Mt. Olivet Cemetery. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is assisting the family with arrangements.

Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Burt Ensley and Theresa (McEnroe) Ensley of Kewanee. She is survived by her sisters; Beth (the late Jerry) Bromenschenkel and Sheila (Ronald) Haddad, her niece, Tracy, a nephew, Ron and great nieces and great nephew.

Patricia graduated from Kewanee High School in 1953, held university graduate and post graduate degrees, served several executive positions in the nursing profession in Missouri, Florida and Texas, and retired as the Director of Nursing at the University of Texas Medical Center at Galveston.
