Patricia A. "Pat" Nyert

KEWANEE – Patricia Ann “Pat” Nyert, 83, of Kewanee, died Friday, February 23, 2024 surrounded by her family at the Kewanee Care Home.

She was born August 2, 1940 in Kewanee, the daughter of Thomas E. and Emma E. (DeBusery) Riggen. She married Charles Lee Nyert on March 14, 1959 in Kewanee and he preceded her in death on January 13, 2006. Survivors include her daughter, Connie (Bob) Silvis of Kewanee, three sons; Kurt (Crickett) Nyert of Kewanee, Chad (Jackie) Nyert of Atkinson and Shawn Nyert of Peoria and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents, four sisters and six brothers.

Pat worked for several years at Pines Trailer Corp. and cleaned houses for many families in Kewanee. She was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and especially loved spending time with her children and grandchildren.

The family would like to thank the staff at the Kewanee Care Home and the hospice care providers for the wonderful care Pat received.

Cremation will be accorded and a memorial service will be held at a later date with inurnment at Wethersfield Cemetery. Memorials may be directed to the family. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
