Patrick M. "Pat" Weston

KEWANEE – Patrick M. “Pat” Weston, 59, of Kewanee, died at 8:56 a.m., Wednesday, August 7, 2024 at Hope Creek Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in East Moline.

He was born September 9, 1964 in Kewanee, the son of James and Mary Lou (Teece) Weston. He married Brenda J. Moon-Hepner on June 9, 1990, in Kewanee. Survivors include his wife of Kewanee, his father of Kewanee, a son, Dustin (Baylea) Weston of Buda, a daughter, Ali Weston (Spencer Medley) of Galva, step-daughter, Jennifer (Randy) Hedrick of Princeton, his siblings; Tom (Connie) Weston of Kewanee, Betty (Jeff) Andris of Peoria, Mike (Michele) Weston of Orion, Mary Findley (Tony Carlton) of Bradford, Connie (Doug) Wager of Kewanee and Rob (Kari) Weston of Galva, three grandchildren, Asher Weston, Ruby Hedrick and Cooper Weston, step-grandchild, Emily Pries and several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother and brother-in-law, James "Jim" Findley.

He graduated from Kewanee High School in 1982 and attended Black Hawk East and Illinois State University. He had worked as a tree trimmer for Local IBEW 51 since 1988. He enjoyed fishing and kayaking and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

A visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 p.m., Monday, August 12 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee followed by a time of sharing at 6:00 p.m. Memorials may be directed to Grafelman Farm Rescues or to Our English Setter Rescue.
