Paul L. Palen

KEWANEE - Paul L. Palen, 63, of Kewanee, died at 9:58 p.m., Friday, May 1, 2026 at Carle Health Methodist Hospital in Peoria.

He was born on July 2, 1962 in Dixon, IL, the son of William and Irene (Atkinson) Palen. Survivors include his mother, his significant other and love of his life, Kelli, his children; Skyler (Brittnee) Palen, Cory (Therese McCalden) Palen, Austin (Marissa Scarangella) Palen, Breanne (Quentin) Bryner and Rayanne Busboom, grandchildren; Hayden and Kellen Palen, Jovie Bryner, Paisley Smith and Ismael Astorga and siblings, Andrew (Jeanne) Palen and Sue Siedel. He was preceded in death by his father.

Paul worked as a quality control specialist for Advanced Asphalt. He was a stubborn but loyal individual with a great sense of humor. Paul was a die-hard Dallas Cowboys and Chicago Cubs fan, who was known to enjoy a cold Busch Light. He also enjoyed his 63 ½ Galaxie, playing the drums and collecting football cards.

A visitation will be held from 5:00-7:00 p.m., Thursday, May 7 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Cremation will be accorded following the visitation. Memorials may be directed to his family.
