ANNAWAN - Priscilla A. “Pris” Robinson, 89, of Annawan, died at 6:31 a.m., Wednesday, July 3, 2024 at Hammond-Henry Extended Care in Geneseo.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m., Saturday, July 13 at Zion Lutheran Church in Kewanee with Pastor Mara Ahles-Iverson officiating. Visitation will be held from 4:00-7:00 p.m., Friday, July 12 at Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee. Her burial will be at Evergreen Memorial Gardens in rural Kewanee. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Zion Lutheran Church in Kewanee or the Annawan-Alba Volunteer Fire Protection District.
Pris was born December 16, 1934, in Kewanee, the daughter of Raymond and Dolphie (Johnson) Lindstrum. She married Clarence R. “Robbie” Robinson, Jr. on March 7, 1954, at Zion Lutheran Church. He survives as well as their children; Lisa Robinson of Colorado Springs, CO, Lynnette Robinson of Columbia, MO, Steve (Shari Clapp) of Madison, WI, David (Lesley) Robinson of Bourbonnais, IL and LuAnn (Mark) Edmundson of LeRoy, IL. Also surviving her are four grandchildren: Thomas and Mark Robinson and Jack and Sam Edmundson. She was preceded in death by her parents and a son in infancy.
Pris graduated from Wethersfield High School in 1952 and then attended Augustana College. She was a full-time mother and homemaker and worked at Kewanee Public Hospital in the medical records office. She was a lifetime member of Zion Lutheran Church volunteering in many capacities including as assistant organist and pianist for many years, singing in the church choir, holding several positions on the church council and the Faith Circle. Her participation in the community choir brought her much happiness. Pris spent countless hours supporting others through random acts of kindness. Above all, her family, music, and faith were the most important aspects of her life.
