Raymond J. Shannon

KEWANEE - Raymond J. Shannon, 87, a resident at Avenues of Royal Oaks, died peacefully at 5:30 p.m., Saturday, February 1, 2025 at the home.

He was born April 11, 1937 in Chicago. Among his survivors are a sister-in-law, Sue Ann Shannon and a cousin, Judy Levitt. He was preceded in death by his mother, Dorothy Lorraine Stein and stepfather, Thomas Shannon.

He was a horse trainer owning and operating his own business.

Cremation will be accorded and no services are planned at this time. Rux Funeral Home in Kewanee is in charge of arrangements.
